Training

“According to an article in Harvard Business Review, only 10% of the population has what’s called “The Learning Mind-Set.”  These are people who seek out and enjoy learning.  The other 90% of the population will not look to improve their skills unless they have to as part of their job requirement.”

Realtors must focus on a niche and become an expert

As a Realtor and Broker I have dedicated myself to continued education and improving my skillset.  Our local Association provides many excellent resources and some terrific classes, two of my favorites have been the ABR & RMS designations.  To my surprise one of the instructors mentioned something like only 1% of the Realtors have taken these course….Yet another way to set yourself apart from the thousands of competing Realtors , get educated!

We’ve all heard the saying, “To Earn More, You Must Learn More.”

As the 2008 SDAR Broker of the Year and Broker/Owner for Dream Design Realty I want to make a distinction between training and coaching since the two have somehow become intertwined.  There is a big difference!

Training is the learning & practicing of a specific skillset. Coaching is having help from someone who has more experience, knows a better way, and can hold you accountable to doing the “hard work” that you put off doing when left to your own devices.

At Dream Design Realty we train our Realtor team on the following areas:

  • Continued Education:  our agents are required to succesfully complete the ABR & RMS courses through SDAR during their first year with our company.  Dream Design Realty realizes that both courses require a fair amount of time to complete the course and the RMS courses are quite expensive so you will want to see our RMS Designation Credit.
  • Contracts:  as part of the RMS Designation, you will take the Conquering Contracts course.  Newer agents will be required to attend the ddR contracts training course, this instructional course is done one-on-one with the Agent and Broker or Team Leader.
  • Transaction Coordination / Paperwork:  unlike the Conquering Contracts and ddR contracts training course, agents will be trained on the ins-and-outs of transacting a file / completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring their file is DRE Compliant and complete 48 hours before the close of escrow.  This allows escrow to cut checks directly to our agents on the day of closing.
  • Risk Management:  is a critical component to any good training and one that we take very seriously at Dream Design Realty.  Risk Management reaches into just about every aspect of our business and will be covered in all areas of training: CE Course, Contracts, TC/Paperwork, and our Transactional Support
  • RMS Designation $1000 credit*:  that’s right, Dream Design Realty will credit you $1000 upon your successful completion of the RMS Designation at SDAR.
  • Transactional Support:  the help and support you want and need when you really need it!  We understand that our society is convenience driven and real estate can be a time sensitive business, so we pride ourselves on being available to our Realtors when they need it most.
  • Presentations:  are more than a fancy power point, color flyer and statistics.  We train you on how to recognize when you are presenting and how to present it so that it connects with your prospect.
  • Social Networking:  is the new prospecting.  Dream Design Realty has a strong committement to technology and a passion for all the cool Web 2.0 Tools available for Realtors.
  • Technology:  our agents are all tech savvy and possess the desire to leverage these tools to close more business.  Dream Design Realty surpasses most all other real estate companies with our experience and real-life use of technology in our business.
  • Blogging:  our agents are encouraged to setup a blog using Wordpress.  We will show you how to attract quality buyers and sellers to your blog.  You can learn all you will ever need to know about blogging with this super simple Fast Start Manual
